The PADI Enriched Air Diver course addresses the way recreational divers dive nitrox in the 21st century - with dive computers. In this course, you'll learn the benefits, potential problems, equipment considerations and other information you need to dive enriched air nitrox with an EANx dive computer. You'll also learn some simple, but important, skills to understand.
By successfully completing this course, you'll qualify for the PADI Enriched Air Diver certification. This certification means that you're qualified to buy and rent EANx dive gear, and 10 make and plan enriched air nitrox dives using an EANx compatible dive computer.
Enriched air is so popular because it's useful for almost all your dives. Regardless of what you love to do underwater, EANx gives you more dive time - more time to do what you love doing.
Though there are many benefits to using Enriched Air (Nitrox), one of the most common is diving deeper, longer. Deep diving (below 18 metres/60 feet) is adventurous, but the deeper you go, the shorter your no stop time. Although enriched air has some depth restrictions, it has longer no decompression limits than air does. This helps offset the short no stop times you have on a deeper dive, so that you can stay down longer and still remain well within the limits.
