This video is a detailed step-by-step entry level guide to the PADI Open Water Diver Course, demonstrating each of the required skills development required for Open Water recreational diving certification. With this step-by-step video, as well as your Instructor support, you'll become familiar with the basic skills expectations from your PADI dive instructor.
Course prerequisites: This course requires both knowledge development and inwater training for certification, able to swim, medically fit for diving, and comfortable in the water. Minimum age is 10 (divers certified between the ages of 10-14 earn a Junior Diver certification. Junior Open Water Divers automatically become Open Water Divers at age 15.)
Medical requirements: Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving. Your PADI dive instructor will guide you through the medical requirements before you commit to this Course.
